Personally I like the actual design more than these renders!

Agreed

I do too. But I still don't think the new design is that great either. It's good, just bland to me. Too much of the same.

I don't completely hate it, I like the rear with the wide wheel arches, but the front , feels like they kept the design very subdued, in comparison to their other current cars.

so do i. These renders are probably rehashes of renders for like 5 other cars.

I really like the first one.

It may be bland, but it's also simple and the Miatas roots go back to a simple understated design and I can appreciate that they tried to go back to that. Especially in a market flooded with crazy aggressive angular designs. And as far as the renders are concerned I think a lot of them look like "too much car" for the Miata. They look more like a 40,000 dollar sports car than the everyman's fun-mobile.

I can get on that, simple is good. I mean the chassis design seems to follow that quite well, and I'm interested to hear more about that part of it.
Still can't say I am hugely fond of its looks, but I can appreciate it for the simplicity. Look at the E-type, I guess. Not overly complicated, but hot damn.

That last render looks beautiful!

The front end is a little awkward, the headlights seem to small, and the grill seems to big, but I love the side profile, and I still have yet to see a pic from the rear.

This looks fantastic! Much, much better than what we were shown.
